ACU MIST is a powerful topical antimicrobial solution, that helps balance bacteria and oils, while restoring hydration levels in inflamed acneic skins.
With supply shortages due to the COVID-19 crisis, castor oil availability became scarce. This turned into a perfect opportunity for a slight upgrade and adjustment to the ACU MIST formula.
What’s been removed
Ricinus Communis Seed Oil (castor oil)
What’s been added
Cocos Nucifera Oil (coconut oil)
Coconut oil is rich in saturated fatty acidslauric and capric acids, as well as antioxidant vitamin E. All are extremely beneficial to address and resolve acne conditions. Laurie and capric acid are very antimicrobial and effective against C. Acnes, gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as candida albicans. Coconut oil is emollient and the fatty acids replenish and soften dry skin, increase moisture and reduce TEWL. DMK uses fractionated coconut oil, which makes ACU MIST easier to disperse, and gives the formula an even, light–weight coverage and spreadability, improving the overall feel on the skin. ACU MIST with fractionated coconut oil will not clog pores.

Why was Aminodine reformulated?
Aminodine has undergone a complete transformation for 2020. The namesake and main active ingredient in the former formula was aminoguanidine. Unfortunately, some countries did not allow the use of aminoguandine in cosmetic formulations, so several DMK distributors and clinics have not been able to prescribe this dynamic and very useful tool in revising glycosylation.
Originally, there wasn’t an acceptable substitute that could be used to replace aminoguanidine, but as the awareness, understanding and incidence of glycation has increased, research and many new exciting botanicals have emerged. These new ingredients helped to not only address existing glycation, but also work to prevent the cascade of damage, as well.
Product information
Aminodine Rehydrating Spray targets excess glucose molecules that result in glycosylation; preventing them from attaching and binding to structural dermal fibers. With consistent use, this solution works to prevent, but also reverses existing damage of glycosylation, increased oxidative stress, and AGEs. It also has ingredients that boost collagen, strengthen and reorient the dermal fibers and increase matrix components- rebuilding the foundation of the skin. It reduces wrinkles, refines the texture and tone of the epidermis, to create a lifted, fuller and more youthful appearance. While glycosylation shows up in the skin, it is also happening internally with other body tissues, so diet and lifestyle both play a role in resolving this condition and are keys to ensuring and maintaining results.
Prescribe Aminodine spray up to twice daily as long as the condition persists, or incorporate Aminodine into client’s regimen to prevents glycation, for clients that may be predisposed due to compromised health or lifestyle. Use the spray on its own, as well as in conjunction with DMK oils and nourishing creams. Saturate the area and press into the skin when applying. In addition to the face, neck and décolleté, spray may be used on the backs of hands, neck, or anywhere else with advanced photo damage and where signs of aging are present. Aminodine was originally created and remains the perfect pairing to use in combination with Nite Firming Antioxidant Moisture Cream, as part of an evening DMK Home Prescriptive regimen.
