Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion performs a uniform controlled exfoliation of the Stratum Corneum. This allows any product to penetrate almost 50% deeper into the skin. This system has been offering solutions to achieve glowing and radiant skin. Microdermabrasion was FDA cleared in 1996. Today this treatment is used all over the world. The Ultrapeel microdermabrasion system is the most popular microdermabrasion device and can be used to treat the following:
Cosmetic peeling, dull skin, congested skin, blemished skin, ageing skin, open pores, localized hyperpigmentation, fine wrinkles, acne, acne scarring, scar tissue improvement, stretch mark reduction, actinic keratosis and general dermabrasions.
Ultrapeel microdermabrasion removes the dead and damaged skin cells by a jet of fine microcrystals that are vaccumed across the skin. This leaves the skin blemish free, smooth, young and radiant. In the beginning of this treatment you may experience a mild scratching sensation but the results are absolutely stunning. This treatment can be done on different levels depending on what one wants to achieve and although there is no down time a easily stimulated skin might be a little red and one can experiences the skin to have almost a “wind burn” sensation for 3-4 days after the treatment.
Transderm
This is the newest ionic drug solutions transdermal delivery system to be used for medicalpurposes. For the first time ionic solutions of macromolecules has got the capability of transdermally being delivered through this system. This is a totally non-invasive action with no trauma from injections. This is basically a “needless injection”. This is a 2 step procedure. The first step is microdermabrasion which prepares the skin for the dermoelectroparation. The second step is dermoelectroparation by which the ionic drug solution is administered to the patient.
Microdermabrasion – This system performs a uniform controlled exfoliation of the stratum corneum. This condition allows double the quantity and absorption of the ionic drug solution as compared to a classic topic substance application on the skin and ensure reproducibility due to standardization of the thickness and permeability of the stratum corneum.
Dermoelectroparation for transdermal delivery – This technology consists of delivery of continuous reversal polarity current pulses that allow the ionic drug solution to be transdermallly delivered. Moreover macromolecules are also transdermally delivered for the first time from an Ionthoresis device.
