The procedure is as follow: Blood is drawn from your arm and placed in a centrafusion machine. The blood platelets get separated and we then gently micro need it into the skin where the growth factor in the plasma does their natural magic.

The objective is to offer an alternative for transdermal absorption of sterile vials and resurfacing of the skin, without the use of traditional metal cartridges, anaesthetic, pain, blood etc.
WHAT ARE SPONGILLA SPICULES:
The sponges are simple multicellular organisms that are harvested from a first-grade clean freshwater lake. They have a soft structure and look like underwater plants such as kelp. Their main structural support being their fibrous siliceous spicules.
The first use of Spongilla Spicules came from Europe, where the people used sponge powder to treat acne and pimples. The locals salvaged sponges that grew in fresh water, dried them in the sun and ground them into a powder. Then, they mixed the sponge powder with water and applied it to the skin.
BIO-NANO NEEDLING WITH SPONGILLA SPICULES:
Main objective: An alternative to traditional mechanical metal needling.
- Transdermal absorption of actives applied alongside the needling, fast cellular turnover, activation of basal cell division, resurfacing of the epidermis, regeneration of new skin cells and stimulation of subcutaneous micro-circulation – allowing for drainage as well as feed and oxygenation to the skin.

- The stinging sensation usually felt with metal cartridge micro-needling is virtually non-existent when compared (although there is some slight tingling and redness).
- No epidermal anaesthetic is needed, and because the spicules are extremely fine, the introduction process does not pierce the blood vessels, no bleeding will occur, and the wound is very small (in fact it is invisible to the naked eye), thus greatly reducing the chance of infection.
What to expect post treatment:
How will my skin feel after Bio Nano Microneedling?
Skin will be red, which may continue for 24-48 hours post treatment.
You will feel the sponge spicules in your skin for that time (but only when the skin is touched), so skin should be treated gently; not rubbed or scratched.
Aftercare products should be patted gently into the skin.
You may experience a degree of itching; this indicates the healing process.
There will be varying degrees of skin peeling. This will vary from client to client, but pigmentation will rise to the surface and look darker for a time. Acne will also have to come up and out so may look worse for one or two days.
Beautiful fresh skin will be apparent after 7 days!
For best results at least 3 to 4 treatments may be needed and can be performed 2- 4 weeks apart.
No acids are used so it is suitable for people with low tolerance to actives such as retinols and peels.
